We are preferred providers for a number of Medical Aids and our fee structure is in line with SA Medical Association guidelines. We request that you settle your account with us directly at the time of consultation, and then submit the receipted account to your Medical Aid for re-imbursement. A higher fee is applicable for accounts that are not settled immediately. Payment made by EFT should reach us on the same day. Interest will be charged on overdue accounts.
The consultation fee is for a basic consultation. An additional fee may be applicable for any tests or procedures such as ECGs, lung function tests, minor surgery, and injections. There is also a fee for repeat prescriptions and telephonic consultations. Should you have any concerns regarding costs kindly discuss this with the doctor at the time of consultation.
Our practice is regulated by the National Health Act, the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI), The Promotion of Access to Information Act and the Ethical Rules of the Health Professions Council of SA.
All medical records kept by us are strictly confidential and will be treated as such by our doctors and staff. These records will only be released with your specific consent. This consent is required for all patients over the age of 12 years. When we need to refer you to another doctor or specialist, it will be in your best interest that we provide the other doctor with details relevant to your medical condition. This information is shared in your best interest and your consent is implied when you agree to being referred.
Should you consult a specialist without referral from us it will also be in your best interest to request the specialist to send us a report. In this way we will be in possession of all your medical information and will best be able to assist you.
